IN BRIEF: Angling Direct Closes 12 Stores Due To Tier 4 Curbs

Angling Direct PLC - Norwich, Norfolk-based fishing equipment retailer - Says 12 of its stores now closed amid UK imposing tier 4 Covid-19 restrictions in London and south-east England. Angling adds that the 12 stores will continue to operate call and collect services. Says "positive sales momentum" has continued since start of December. Affirms forecast of annual earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation of "not less than GBP3.8 million".

"Angling Direct's other 26 stores and its webstore remain fully operational for both the UK and European sales, with the distribution centre geared up to fulfil increased demand through this channel," company adds.

Current stock price: 75.03 pence, down 4.4% on Monday

Year-to-date change: up 3.5%
