Alphawave IP Group PLC - Toronto, Canada-based technology services and high-speed connectivity solutions provider - Says it has consented to an extension of the deadline for Qualcomm Inc to either announce its firm intention to make an offer, or to decline to make one. This deadline was previously extended to Monday evening, after the San Diego, California-based communications technology company on April 1 announced that it was considering making a takeover offer for Alphawave. Both companies remain engaged in discussions regarding a possible offer. Qualcomm now has until the evening of May 27 to 'put up or shut up'. Alphawave notes that there is no certainty either that an offer will be made or as to the terms of such an offer.
