AfriTin Mining Ltd - tin mining company which operates the Uis tin mine in Namibia - Says metallurgical test work results confirm possibility of separate production of saleable lithium and tantalum concentrates. These are by products of existing metallurgical process development programme work at Uis. AfriTin says programmes to develop metallurgical process development programme by-products moving to pilot phase. "By implementing the pilot phase development of these separate elements, the company aims to take advantage of the burgeoning technology metals market by fast tracking the by-product streams into production. We are encouraged by the rapid progress on our metallurgical test work programme in support of our goal of becoming a major player in the tech-metal mining sector," Chief Executive Anthony Viljoen says.
