AFC Energy PLC - Cranleigh, England-based provider of hydrogen power-generation technologies - UK Environment Agency agrees to revise its research & development permit to export and sell low-carbon hydrogen, produced at its Dunsfold pilot ammonia cracking plant, to hydrogen off-takers. AFC says this accelerates revenue generation "by a number of months", and gives further timing flexibility to the relocation of the Dunsfold plant, as operatives can now be trained in a live environment there. Notes that Dunsfold can produce up to 300 kilograms of hydrogen per day in its current configuration. Adds that it continues to work with joint venture partner Industrial Chemicals Group Ltd to establish hydrogen production, through multiple AFC Hy-5 ammonia cracker units, at ICL's facility in Middlesborough.
