Adriatic Metals PLC - Balkans-focused exploration & development company - Says production at the Vares processing plant was unaffected by severe storms and flooding that occurred on the central and southern regions of Bosnia & Herzegovina last week Thursday. However, it notes that the railway line that connects Sarajevo to Ploce Port in Croatia has been damaged in the Jablanica region near Mostar, about 70 kilometres south of Sarajevo. Concentrate product will be trucked to Ploce Port until the railway track is fully repaired and operating safely.
"The company previously trucked concentrate to Ploce Port in Q2 and Q3 this year so Adriatic expects no impact on ongoing operations and is confident in utilising road logistics as a temporary solution," Adriatic Metals assures. Further, the company says it is working closely with local civil protection authorities and the Red Cross to help with removing road obstructions.
