Active Energy Group PLC - renewable energy and forestry management firm - Confirms that it has correctly filed all patents and patent applications in the US and Canada over the last two years. The announcement comes amid the open letter from Ron Derrickson, chair of RMD Environmentals Inc, regarding the status of Active Energy's CoalSwitch licence agreement with RMD, signed in November 2019.
Back then, British Columbia based forestry management firm RMD has acquired from Active Energy the exclusive rights for the sale & commercial development of opportunities to which the CoalSwitch technology may be applied in the Crown Provinces of Alberta and British Columbia in Canada for the next 20 years. Active Energy has received from RMD a license fee of USD1.8 million and subsequent royalty payments of USD5.00 per tonne on all licensed products that are produced by RMD for the duration of the licence agreement.
