Impax Asset Management Net Inflows Strong, Assets Under Management Up

6th Jul 2016 08:16

LONDON (Alliance News) - Impax Asset Management Group PLC on Wednesday said it secured robust net inflows in the third quarter and assets under management grew around 13% over the three months.

Impax, which runs funds focused on environmental and resource efficiency sectors, said its assets under management at the end of June stood at GBP4.0 billion, 13% higher than at the end of March and up 42% from the end of October.

In the quarter, Impax received net inflows of GBP112.0 million, primarily from investors in Europe and from an initial allocation from a new North American client.

"Impax continues to deliver strong investment performance by identifying attractively priced assets and companies operating across rapidly expanding environmental markets. This year we've recorded unprecedented levels of commitments from new clients and have a healthy pipeline of prospects," said Chief Executive Ian Simm.

Simm added the "catalysts for change" in energy markets remain "compelling" and expressed confidence the underlying attractions of these markets will not take a significant hit from Brexit.

Shares in Impax were down 2.4% to 52.75 pence Wednesday.
