Impact Healthcare sells Wakefield care home for GBP2.7 million

10th Oct 2022 11:54

(Alliance News) - Impact Healthcare REIT PLC on Monday said it has sold a non-core care home, Attlee, for GBP2.7 million.

The London-based real estate investment trust said that Attlee is a 68 bed care home in Wakefield.

It was acquired in March 2017 as part of the Seed portfolio.

In 2017, Impact bought a portfolio of residential care homes for a total consideration of GBP148.8 million. The portfolio, consisting of the Core Seed Portfolio and the Mulberry Portfolio, included 56 residential care homes with a total of 2,479 beds.

The company added that the sales price of GBP2.7 million is 4% above the latest book value at June 30.

"The home was not a long-term strategic asset for Impact or the tenant, Minster Care Management Ltd and as part of the group's active portfolio management strategy, was jointly marketed," Impact explained.

Shares in Impact Healthcare were down 1.1% to 99.30 pence each in London on Monday around midday.
