LONDON (Alliance News) - Impact Healthcare REIT PLC said Friday said it has decided to delay the acquisition of a portfolio of UK care homes and will consequently not proceed with a GBP150 million fundraise before the end of 2018.
In October, the healthcare-focused property investor said it was mulling a fundraise, and would discuss with shareholders potential acquisition of a care homes portfolio, which has 2,500 beds and an annual rent of approximate GBP12 million under existing leases.
Impact said it remains in discussions with the vendors of the target portfolio and of other investment opportunities, and expects to raise equity capital in 2019.
Shares in Impact Healthcare were up 0.6% at 103.10 pence on Friday.
