Immotion Partners With Survios To Install New Game Into VR Product

(Alliance News) - Virtual reality entertainment firm Immotion Group PLC said Friday it has entered an exclusive agreement with Survios for the installation of its "Raw Data" VR experience into Immotion's new arena product.

Survios is a US-based virtual reality studio, which in 2016 a Series C funding round led by US media group MGM Studios Inc raised over USD50 million. Former MGM Chief Executive Gary Barber is currently part of Survios's board.

Under the three-year partnership, Survivos will provide its multi player experiences in Immotion's new arena format. Specifically, the sci-fi first person shooter game "Raw Data" is to be installed into Immotion's VR Arena, which is a multi-player shooting enclosure.

Furthermore, Immotion will be able to sell or partner with clients across the globe apart from Asia, to roll out Survios experiences through the group's VR arena product.

The game is expected to be released to several leisure operators in early July.

"I am thrilled to be partnering with such a great company as Survios. We have been working on our VR Arena for some months, and to have exclusivity on such an iconic game as 'Raw Data' is a major coup for Immotion, further underpinning our position as global leaders in the 'out of home' VR market," said Chief Executive Officer Martin Higginson.

Shares in Immotion Group were up 5.4% at 11.17 pence on Friday.
