IMImobile Taps Former Orange UK CEO As Chairman As Founder Steps Down

28th Apr 2016 08:08

LONDON (Alliance News) - Mobile software and services company IMImobile PLC on Thursday said it has appointed John Allwood as independent non-executive chairman with immediate effect.

Allwood is a non-executive director on the board of telecoms company TalkTalk Telecom Group PLC and is the former chief executive of Orange UK, the mobile provider which now trades under the EE brand following its merger with Deutsche Telecom's T-Mobile UK.

Vishwanath Alluri, the founder of IMImobile, will step down from its non-executive chairman role to focus more on his charitable and educational interests, the company said.

IMImobile shares were up 2.0% to 154.00 pence.
