IMI Promotes Asia-Pacific Head To Lead Critical Engineering

7th Mar 2019 09:18

LONDON (Alliance News) - Engineer IMI PLC on Thursday said it has promoted Jackie Hu to the position of managing director of its Critical Engineering arm.

Hu is currently president of Critical Engineering in the Asia-Pacific, and his appointment is effective immediately.

IMI Chief Executive-Designate Roy Twite said: "Jackie joined IMI in 2008 and has been instrumental in the success of IMI Critical Engineering in the Asia Pacific region.

"He has deep knowledge and experience across our end markets and a proven track record of driving growth and business development. We're excited about him joining our executive team."

Twite's appointment as CEO-designate was only announced Friday last week. Current CEO Mark Selway will depart in May.

In its 2018 results, also announced Friday, Critical Engineering made up GBP682 million of the company's overall revenue of GBP1.91 billion.

The division, IMI said, outperformed competitors in what was a "mixed" trading environment.

IMI shares were 2.2% lower on Thursday at a price of 985.50 pence each.
