LONDON (Alliance News) - Imagination Technologies Group PLC said Tuesday it has launched its new core processor, the 64-bit MIPS Warrior core.
The processor combines 64-bit architecture and hardware visualisation, the company said, and can be used for processing in applications including embedded, mobile, digital consumer, advanced communications, networking and storage.
The company has already secured licensees for the product across multiple markets, it said.
"This new product is more efficient, flexible and scalable than the competition and its feature set clearly lends itself to the needs of a wide range of next-generation applications including smartphones and tablets," Chief Executive Hossein Yassaie said in a statement.
Shares in Imagination Technologies were trading up 0.9% at 219.00 pence Tuesday afternoon.
