(Alliance News) - Leicestershire, England-based Image Scan Holdings PLC on Monday announced a partnership with a major unnamed security technology company which is to lead the launch of a new range of security X-ray screening systems.
The X-ray imaging systems provider said its new system conveyor X-ray machine will have a 60 by 40 centimetre tunnel size and will be suitable for security checkpoints in government and commercial buildings.
The new system is to replace the current Axis 2D machine in the company's product range.
The agreement will also see the development of other technologies such as archway metal detectors.
Image Scan Chief Executive Bill Mawer said: "Our organic growth strategy includes both in-house technology development and international partnerships, and so I am delighted to announce this new programme, which will eventually lead to a significant expansion of our security product range.
"Importantly, these systems will also allow us to increase our recurring service and support revenue."
Image Scan shares were up 76% at 2.98 pence each on Monday morning in London.
