Ilika Says New Contract Lifts Committed Revenue Above Year Before

14th Aug 2014 08:29

LONDON (Alliance News) - Ilika PLC Thursday said it has signed a commercial contract with a new European Union-based customer for the development of battery materials.

The battery technology company did not name the customer or how much the contract was worth in its statement Thursday, but said the new six month contract takes the level of its committed revenue for the current financial year to over GBP825,000, ahead of the GBP535,000 in committed revenue it had at the same point last year.

"This programme is a further demonstration of the strength of Ilika's technology platform for the development of leading edge lithium ion battery materials. It also continues the progress that we have made in attracting and retaining customers in Europe," said Chief Executive Graeme Purdy in a statement.

Ilika shares were up 1.2% at 82.00 pence Thursday morning, after having initially fallen to 78.00p in early trade.
