LONDON (Alliance News) - Ilika PLC said Wednesday it is making "solid progress" towards commercialisation of its solid-state battery product in a statement ahead of its annual general meeting.
The company said that since announcing its full year results in July it has been focused on the product of the solid-state batteries. In March it began production of the batteries, which meant it was able to begin talks with original equipment manufacturers to incorporate the batteries in their products.
Additionally, it also made food progress with its portfolio of patents covering the technology. Earlier this week it was granted a patent in China, and it expects further filings to result from the development work it is currently undertaking.
Shares in Ilika were up 2.3% at 70.30 pence Wednesday afternoon.
