Idox Expects To Benefit From Brexit Referendum As Trading Is In Line

25th Feb 2016 09:25

LONDON (Alliance News) - Software and services provider Idox PLC on Thursday said trading has been in line with its expectations in the first months of its current financial year and said it anticipates benefiting from the upcoming referendum on the UK's European Union membership.

Chairman Laurence Vaughan, speaking ahead of the company's annual general meeting, said the group is making progress in the UK and Europe and is seeing a solid flow of contract wins from the local government sector and its other markets.

Idox's current financial year began on November 1, 2015.

Vaughan said the company has seen good take-up for its iApply planning and building control software and said it has now fully integrated Reading Room, the digital services platform it bought last year.

The chairman said he expects the Idox elections business to benefit from the recently-announced in-out referendum on the UK's membership of the EU and remains on the look out for further acquisitions.

Idox shares were up 2.3% to 50.4 pence.
