LONDON (Alliance News) - Ideagen PLC Monday said that its has secured a number of contract wins within the healthcare sector, including a new contract with Central Manchester University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
The software development company said that the initial GBP400,000 contract with the trust is to supply its proprietary dartEDM electronic medical-record platform, which acts as a virtual electronic filing cabinet and provides clinicians access to all the information relevant to their patients' treatment at the point of care.
Ideagen said that approximately GBP380,000 of the contract will be recognised in the current financial year.
Ideagen also said it has been awarded its first software-as-a-service based contracts in the US healthcare sector, at the US Department of Veterans Affairs in Indianapolis and at Christus St Vincent, a network of 40 healthcare centres based in New Mexico, for its Santa Fe hospitals.
The company also said that its July acquisition, MSS Management Systems Services Limited, is performing well, buoyed by the strong market for accident and emergency solutions. It said that in the first trading month post acquisition, it was awarded a contract worth GBP130,000 for its Patient First A&E solution from Wexham Park Hospital in Slough.
"Outside of the healthcare sector, demand for the company's products and services has remained strong with notable contracts received from the Prudential, Tata Motors, Fuji Diosyth, Mouchel and Marsh Insurance. The company continues to trade in line with management expectations and the board remains confident of the future growth of the business," said Chief Executive David Hornsby in a statement.
The company is expected to provide a full trading update for the first half of the year in November.
Ideagen shares were up 8.6% or 1.83 pence Monday morning, trading at 22.95 pence per share.
