Ideagen Soars On NHS Contract Wins

17th Mar 2014 08:19

LONDON (Alliance News) - Ideagen PLC said Monday it has won two NHS contracts in Birmingham worth a combined GBP400,000 in first year value.

The information management software provider saw its shares jump to lead the AIM market at the market open on the news.

The contract with the Heart of England NHS Foundation Trust - which comprises Heartland Hospital, Solihull Hospital, Good Hope Hospital and Birmingham Chest Clinic - has selected dart/KW, Ideagen's electronic medical record solution, and dart/OCM, its order communications solution.

Birmingham Children's NHS Foundation Trust has selected the Patient First offering, the group's Emergency Department service. The tool will provide effective management of patient pathways and efficient support for the treatment of patients throughout the ED cycle, said the firm.

"The NHS remains an extremely strong market for the Group as the Government's strategy for a paperless NHS by 2018 gathers real momentum. These deals represent further validation of the Group's strategy and we expect to announce further NHS contract wins in the near future," said David Hornsby, Chief Executive.

Ideagen was leading the AIM market Monday morning, trading 30.45% higher at 43.05 pence per share.
