Ideagen Boosted By Acquisitions As Full-Year Revenue Jumps

7th May 2014 13:59

LONDON (Alliance News) - Information management software company Ideagen PLC Wednesday said revenue increased 38% in the year to end-April, boosted in part by acquisitions it made during the year as well as growth in work it does for the National Health Service in the UK.

The company said its full-year earnings before interest, tax, depreciation, amortisation, share based payments and acquisition costs, will also be up on the year, driven by organic growth and the acquisitions of MSS Management Systems Services Ltd and Pentana Ltd in 2013.

MSS is a supplier of emergency and unscheduled software care technology to the NHS while Pentana is a risk management software company.

Ideagen also said it won two NHS contracts delivering GBP500,000 in revenue, of which around 80% has been recognised in the year ending April 30.

"The NHS remains a significant market for the group as the government's strategy for a paperless NHS by 2018 gathers real momentum and has driven strong growth for the group in the financial year that has just completed," Chief Executive David Hornsby said in a statement.

Looking ahead, Ideagen said it is confident that it will continue to deliver profitable growth this year and beyond.

The stock was trading at 43.87 pence Wednesday, up 0.50 pence or 1.2%.
