22nd Mar 2018 14:10

LONDON (Alliance News) - IT services firm IDE Group Holdings PLC announced Thursday the immediate departure of its Chief Executive Andy Ross as part of a strategy review.

IDE simultaneously announced Chief Financial Officer Julian Phipps will also take on the role of Chief Operating Officer.

The company added it will strengthen the board "in due course".

IDE announced a "major" cost reduction programme in early February when it released 2017 results, and this included board changes.

Interim Non-Executive Chairman Bill Dobbie said: "I would like to thank Andy for his hard work and dedication to the IDE Group business over the last two and a half years and wish him well for the future."

Shares were down 2.4% on Thursday at 16.10 pence each.
