ICAP US Treasury And US Repo Volumes Decline Year-On-Year In June

LONDON (Alliance News) - Interdealer broker ICAP PLC on Wednesday said US Treasury and US Repo trading volumes were lower in June from a year earlier, with European Repo volumes flat and EBS foreign exchange volumes also lower.

ICAP said average daily US Treasury volumes in June were down 10% year-on-year to USD169.8 billion, from USD188.9 billion a year earlier. US Repo volumes also declined, down 9.0% year-on-year to USD201.3 billion from USD221.6 billion.

European Repo volumes were broadly flat at EUR179.3 billion, against EUR180.1 billion a year before. EBS currency volumes, meanwhile, declined 3.0% to USD97.4 billion from USD100.8 billion.

ICAP shares were down 0.4% at 392.40 pence on Wednesday.
