LONDON (Alliance News) - ICAP PLC, the electronic markets and post trade services provider, on Monday said average daily volumes on its EBS currency trading platform dropped by 21% year on year in May.
In a statement, ICAP said average daily volumes on EBS, including spot, outrights and swaps, amounted to USD75.7 billion on a single count basis in May. That was down 10% on figures published for April.
US Treasury volumes amounted to USD156.4 billion in May, down 15% on the year and up 8% on April.
US Repo volumes amounted to USD212.7 billion in May, down 2% year on year and up 3% on April. European Repo volumes were EUR169.2 billion in May, down 2% on the year and down 4% on April.
Shares in ICAP were up 2.9% at 434.40 pence Monday afternoon in London.
