LONDON (Alliance News) - ICAP PLC on Thursday said it enjoyed healthy increases in US Treasury volumes in February, as the interdealer broker and post trade risk mitigation provider reported monthly electronic markets volumes.
Average daily US Treasury volumes amounted to USD208.0 billion on a single count basis in February, up 14% year on year and 3.0% on January.
Average daily volumes at ICAP's EBS currency trading platform amounted to USD102.6 billion in February, up 9.0% year on year and down 1.0% on January.
Average daily US Repo volumes were down 5.0% year on year and up 5.0% on January, at USD212.9 billion.
Average daily European Repo volumes were flat at EUR174.4 billion year on year and up 2.0% on January.
Shares in ICAP were up 1.8% at 459.40 pence on Thursday morning.
