LONDON (Alliance News) - International Consolidated Airlines Group on Wednesday reported a rise in group traffic and load factor in January.
The airline said group traffic, measured in revenue passenger kilometres, grew 12% year-on-year to 17.3 million from 15.5 million, while load factor increased by 1.7 percentage points to 78.7% from 77.0%.
IAG also announced that British Airways will resume direct flights to Tehran in Iran on July 14. The route will start as a six-per-week service before moving to daily flights from the winter.
Shares in IAG were trading down 4.1% at 519.00 pence on Wednesday afternoon.
