LONDON (Alliance News) - International Consolidated Airlines Group on Thursday said it has converted four Airbus options into firm orders for its Aer Lingus and Iberia carriers and has converted another 15 options for the wider group.
The FTSE 100-listed owner of British Airways said it has converted options on two Airbus A330-300 and A330-200 longhaul aircraft into firm orders for Aer Lingus and Iberia. Aer Lingus will get its aircraft in 2016, while those for Iberia will be delivered in 2017 and 2018.
In addition, IAG has converted 15 Airbus 320neo options, signed in August 2013, into firm orders. Those will be delivered between 2018 and 2021 and will be available for any airline within IAG for fleet replacement.
Shares in IAG were up 0.4% to 581.50 pence on Thursday.
