i3 Energy Chair Steps Down To Join Australian Renewables Giant

7th Feb 2020 10:59

(Alliance News) - Oil & gas firm i3 Energy PLC on Friday said its Chair Davis Knox has stepped down to take on a new renewables-focused position in Australia.

i3 said Non-Executive Director Linda Beal will take on the role on an interim basis while the company undertakes a formal search to find a permanent replacement.

Knox will chair Australian firm Snowy Hydro Ltd, the country's largest renewable energy provider, i3 said.

Elsewhere, i3 said it has begun a site survey at its Serenity and Liberator West oil assets. The survey, which kicked off just before the end of January, is expected to conclude this month.

i3 "This ongoing operation will cover the remaining areas of Serenity and Liberator West's minos high structures not covered by i3's 2019 site survey to ensure that all potential drilling locations remain targetable during the company's planned 2020 drilling campaign, which remains subject to funding.

"The survey will enable i3 to complete the necessary permitting process for further appraisal drilling on its licences, expected to commence late summer."

The company also added that it will be seeking a secondary listing by the end of April.

Shares in the company were 8.7% lower at 9.04 pence each in London on Friday morning.
