LONDON (Alliance News) - i3 Energy PLC on Thursday said it contracted Gardline Ltd to conduct a site survey at its Liberator field, situated off the shore of Aberdeen in the North Sea, UK.
The survey will cover the two production well locations and will begin in September, the oil & gas company said. Prior to that, i3 Energy intends to complete its environmental statement and provide the necessary engineering and environmental data for inclusion in the Liberator field development plan.
In preparation of the updated plan, expected to be submitted to the UK's Oil & Gas Authority in the final quarter of 2018, i3 Energy said it continues to advance critical studies and engineering work.
"i3 remains focused on completing key operational targets to ensure readiness for further stages of the Liberator project," said Chief Development Officer John Woods.
"Submission of our updated field development plan in the fourth quarter of 2018 is key and will allow i3 and our potential joint venture partner to ensure smooth and timely progress as we work towards achieving first oil from Liberator," added Woods.
Shares in i3 Energy were trading 3.5% lower on Thursday at 110.55 pence each.
