Hygea Raises GBP3 Million Of Planned GBP10 Million From Subscription (ALLISS)

LONDON (Alliance News) - Hygea VCT PLC said Thursday it has issued 3.1 million new B shares at between 100 pence and 103.1p following a share subscription.

Hygea also intends to change its name to Seneca Growth Capital VCT PLC and has agreed to appoint the chief executive officer of Seneca Partners, Richard Manley, to its board as a non-executive director.

The offer for the new B class of shares was intended to raise an aggregate of GBP10 million and had an over-allotment facility of up to GBP10 million.

Based on the above figures, Hygea has approximately raised between GBP3.1 million and GBP3.2 million from the B share subscription. Hygea said this result exceeds the minimum subscription threshold

The venture capital trust now has 8.1 million ordinary shares in issue and 3.1 million B shares.

Shares in Hygea were untraded at 45.00 pence on Thursday.
