LONDON (Alliance News) - Hydrodec Group PLC said Friday it is filing a provisional patent application for its method of refining used or contaminated oil to produce a higher quality oil product.
The company said this new method removes problems of fouling and catalyst poisoning caused by lubricant and industrial oil additives, and also has the potential to expand the range of waste oil and hydrocarbons acceptable for re-refining.
The application extends the protection of its technology for the production of re-refined oil products at market competitive prices, it said. It didn't state the country in which it applied for the patent.
Hydrodec previously filed a patent application for its re-refining technology in March.
Shares in Hydrodec were trading up 5.5% at 11.08 pence Friday morning.
