Hurricane Energy's Lancaster Oil Production Edges Lower

(Alliance News) - Hurricane Energy PLC on Wednesday said production at its UK offshore Lancaster field dipped slightly.

In the second quarter, oil production fell slightly to 1.3 million barrels, from 1.4 million barrels in the first quarter.

Average oil production at the West of Shetland asset was down 4.0% quarter-on-quarter at 14,300 barrels of oil per day.

"The 205/21a-6 well on the Lancaster field has produced at an average rate of 12,000 bopd. The increase in oil production from the 205/21a-6 well implemented on June 5, 2020 has, as expected, been accompanied by an increase in produced water," Hurricane Energy said.

Shares in the company were 6.2% higher at 6.40 pence each in London on Wednesday morning.
