Hurricane Energy Starts Operations At Lancaster Field In North Sea

1st Jun 2018 08:58

LONDON (Alliance News) - Hurricane Energy PLC said Friday it has begun operations at the early production system development on the Lancaster Field.

The UK oil and gas exploration firm said Petrofac Facilities Management Ltd, the well operator, started well re-entry and completion operations at the offshore UK North Sea field.

The early production system development of the Lancaster Field will use two suspended horizontal wells, which were drilled and tested in 2014 and 2016.

Earlier in May Hurricane installed enhanced horizontal 'Christmas trees', an assembly of valves, spools, and fittings, on the two existing wells.

Shares in Hurricane Energy were up 1.4% at 45.80 pence.
