(Alliance News) - Hurricane Energy PLC said Thursday it has promoted Head of Finance Richard Chaffe as acting chief financial officer with immediate effect.
He will be replacing Alistair Stobie, who resigned by mutual agreement with the oil & gas firm's board after four years in the role.
Chaffe has been head of Finance for four years since 2016, and prior to that was part of Texas-based oil & gas firm EOG Resources for seven years from 2009 to 2016, leaving as finance director.
"We thank Alistair Stobie for his contribution to Hurricane and are pleased that Richard Chaffe has agreed to assume the role of acting chief financial officer. He has considerable finance and audit experience both within Hurricane and the wider oil and gas sector," said Chair Steven McTierman.
Shares in Hurricane Energy were down 3.7% at 14.90 pence on Thursday in London.
