Hurricane Energy Moves Near To First Oil At At Lancaster In North Sea

LONDON (Alliance News) - Hurricane Energy PLC has begun fully testing the floating production storage & offloading vessel at the Lancaster field, it said Monday.

Hurricane has put hydrocarbons into the Aoka Mizu vessel, Hurricane said, this being the final stage in commissioning.

This means the start-up of the Lancaster field, in the North Sea, can begin, and Hurricane is now to test two production wells. Hurricane will also test flowlines, and then Hurricane would be able to declare first oil.

Shares were up 3.0% on Monday early on at a price of 48.23 pence each.
