LONDON (Alliance News) - Hurricane Energy PLC on Tuesday said it has successfully hooked up its floating production & storage vessel at the Lancaster field in the North Sea.
The Aoka Mizu arrived at Lancaster on Sunday, and was hooked up to the turret mooring system early on Tuesday.
Once production starts at Lancaster, Hurricane hopes to ramp up production to an average rate of 17,000 barrels of oil a day.
Hurricane in January had to abandon the hook up of the Aoka Mizu due to problems with a rope, meaning the vessel returned to the Cromarty Firth port in Scotland for work on the buoy pull-in system.
Shares were 1.4% higher early on Tuesday at a price of 50.24 pence each.
