LONDON (Alliance News) - UK oil & gas company Hurricane Energy PLC said it was unable to complete the buoy hook-up operation in the offshore UK Lancaster field on Friday last week due to problems with the rope.
The field is currently in the Lancaster early production system development, which includes both horizontal wells on the field being completed.
During the buoy hook-up operation, the rope used to pull the buoy became snagged, making it impossible to complete the operation. The rope has been freed and the buoy returned to its original position.
Due to expected deteriorating weather conditions, the Aoka Mizu floating production storage and offloading vessel will return to the Cromarty Firth port in Scotland to complete remediation work on the buoy pull-in system.
Shares in Hurricane Energy were down 1.4% at 48.71 pence on Monday.
