LONDON (Alliance News) - Hurricane Energy PLC said Friday the two production wells at its early production system development in the Lancaster Field are ready to be tied-in to the subsea infrastructure.
Well completion operations have finished and the Paul B Loyd Jr rig has left the field, said Hurricane.
According to Hurricane, these operations "were one of three main elements of the installation campaign" taking place during summer 2018.
The other two being the installation of the mooring system for the floating production storage & offloading (FPSO) and the installation of the subsea, umbilicals, risers & flowline (SURF).
The mooring system installation is "currently ongoing" and will be followed by the SURF programme. They "remain on schedule" and first oil "remain on target" for the first half of 2019.
Chief Executive Robert Trice said: "I'm pleased to report that we have concluded well completion operations safely, bringing us another step closer to first oil. Offshore operations continue, with the installation of the mooring system for the FPSO well underway, and SURF installation on schedule to commence thereafter."
Shares in Hurricane Energy were up 2.9% at 51.78 pence each on Friday morning.
