LONDON (Alliance News) - Oil and gas company Hurricane Energy PLC on Thursday said it has appointed Alistair Stobie as chief financial officer with immediate effect, following the retirement of Nicholas Mardon-Taylor in January.
Stobie was previously director of finance at AIM-listed oil Zoltav Resources Inc and chief financial officer at Volga Gas PLC.
"I am delighted that we have attracted such a high calibre CFO with extensive capital markets experience and specific expertise in the commercial and financial aspects of the E&P sector as we progress our strategy to bring the Lancaster field into production," Chief Executive Robert Trice said in a statement.
Earlier this month, Robert Arnott took over as Hurricane's new chairman, after John Hogan stepped down.
Shares in Hurricane Energy were trading flat at 11.50 pence on Thursday morning.
