LONDON (Alliance News) - Shares in Hunters Property PLC climbed on Friday as it said it expects the first half of its financial year to be ahead of management expectations on a strong first four month trading performance.
Shares in the lettings agency firm rose 6.5% to 57.49 pence on Friday.
In the year to date the company signed for nine branches and opened three, and also increased instructions in the four months to the end of April by 5.4% from the same period the year before.
Hunters also noted that the UK government was planning to put forward proposals to regulate the industry and and ban certain tenant fees. The group said its expects its exposure to be less significant compared to other lettings agency companies due to its strong sales profile.
