Hunter Resources Loss Narrows As It Focuses On Peru Projects

24th Sep 2015 10:38

LONDON (Alliance News) - Peru-focused miner Hunter Resources PLC on Thursday said its pretax loss narrowed in the first half as it continues to focus on the Pampamali gold-silver project.

The company said its pretax loss in the half fell to GBP95,000 from GBP160,000, in line with a fall in administrative costs. The company produces no revenue.

Hunter's focus in the half has been on the Pampamali project in Peru, and the group is working both on the geological exploration work and the community relations around the site. In the half, the company exercised its option to acquire a 51% stake in the project.

The group is planning to develop both the Pampamali and the Prospero projects, located close to each other in Peru, and is evaluating a plan to treat them as a single project.

Shares in Hunter were untraded on Thursday, having last traded at 0.405 pence.
