LONDON (Alliance News) - Hummingbird Resources PLC on Friday provided an update on its operations in the first quarter, with progress made towards production at Yanfolila in Mali and further developments at the Dugbe 1 gold project in Liberia.
Hummingbird said mine construction is due to start imminently at the Yanfolila gold project, with its first production expected in the first half of 2016. It published an optimisation study and started grade control and infill drilling at the site in the quarter
At Dugbe, the company signed a hydro-electric power pre-feasibility study deal in the quarter, with fieldwork due to start on the site in May and a study expected to be completed by April 2016.
Hummingbird shares were up 2.8% to 32.9 pence on Friday.
