(Alliance News) - HSBC Holdings PLC on Friday said it will repurchase USD3.30 billion worth of the USD10.00 billion outstanding 2021 notes pursuant to a tender offer.
Shares in the FTSE 100-listed bank were up 5.9% at 422.90 pence in London in afternoon trading.
Of the USD3.00 billion of 3.400% senior unsecured notes due 2021 notes outstanding, USD1.84 billion were tendered and accepted. The aggregate consideration was USD1.88 billion.
In addition, of the USD2.50 billion of 5.100% senior unsecured notes due 2021 outstanding, USD1.47 billion were tendered and accepted. The aggregate consideration for these was USD1.52 billion.
