Howden Joinery Appoints Mark Robson As Deputy CEO

30th May 2014 10:15

LONDON (Alliance News) - Howden Joinery Group PLC Friday said it has appointed Mark Robson as deputy Chief Executive with immediate effect.

The kitchens and joinery products supplier said that Robson will now be responsible for the day-to-day management of the business in addition to continuing in his role as Chief Financial Officer.

Robson has held the position of CFO of the company for just over nine years.

The group also said that Theresa Keating, currently group financial controller will take on additional responsibilities in the finance area and has been appointed finance director, which is not a board position.

In a statement earlier this month, the company said that its trading performance since the beginning of the year had been in line with its expectations as improved market conditions continued. For the first 16 weeks of the year, to April 19, Howden Joinery UK said revenue rose 11.2% on the comparative period last year, up 8.5% on a same depot basis. It also confirmed its plans to open 30 new depots during 2014.

Shares in Howden Joinery were trading 0.1% lower at 320.80 pence Friday morning.
