LONDON (Alliance News) - Horizon Discovery Group PLC said Thursday that it had entered into a non-exclusive licence agreement to allow ERS Genomics Ltd access to intellectual property relating to its CRISPR/Cas9 gene editing system.
Under the agreement, Horizon will be able to use the technology for research applications, including the development and sale of research tools, amongst other products.
The biotechnology company said that by broadening its CRISPR intellectual property portfolio it will be able to deploy the technology across its products.
No financial details of the agreement were disclosed.
Shares in Horizon were trading up 2.0% at 180.00 pence Thursday afternoon.
