LONDON (Alliance News) - Horizon Discovery Group PLC on Wednesday said it has struck a deal with Cancer Research UK to provide genomic reference materials to support the second phase of the charity's Stratified Medicine Programme.
The work will focus on supporting the validation of a Cancer Research SMP Next Generation Sequencing targeted enrichment panel, using Horizon's HDx human genomic reference materials, Horizon said.
Under the second phase of the programme, Cancer Research UK will work with the national Experimental Cancer Medicine Centre network and national genetic testing laboratories to develop a national screening programme for lung cancer samples in the NHS.
Shares in Horizon were up 0.2% to 210.45 pence on Wednesday.
