(Alliance News) - Hipgnosis Songs Fund Ltd on Friday said it has acquired a music catalogue from Savan Kotecha, an Indian-American songwriter and producer, which consists of 49 of his songs.
The investment company said Kotecha is best known for his work with Ariana Grande, after producing her second album My Everything and third album Dangerous Woman. The catalogue also includes four songs co-written by Kotecha from Grande's album Sweetener.
In addition, Hipgnosis said the catalogue includes Camila Cabello's My Oh My from her new album Romance, Ellie Goulding's Close To Me, Diplo and Swae Lee, James Arthur's Naked, Sam Smith's How Do You Sleep, The Weeknd's Rockin, and some songs performed by Katy Perry, Justin Timberlake and Gwen Stefani.
"This is a sensational set of songs and bear out why he's just been voted Songwriter Of The Year for 2019. I'm delighted to welcome Savan into the Hipgnosis family and am very excited to be working with him and Doug Davis," said Hipgnosis Foiunder Merck Mercuriadis.
Hipgnosis shares closed 0.9% higher in London on Friday at 109.00 pence each.
