(Alliance News) - Music catalogue investment firm Hipgnosis Songs Fund Ltd said Tuesday it has acquired a music catalogue by BRIT award-winning band Kaiser Chiefs for an undisclosed sum.
The acquired catalogue consists of the indie band's first four studio albums, their greatest hits album 'Souvenir' and their live audiovisual release 'Live at Elland Road'.
Their first four studio albums are 2005 debut album 'Employment', 'Yours Truly, Angry Mob', 'Off With Their Heads' and The Future is Medieval'.
Merck Mercuriadis, founder of The Family (Music) Ltd and Hipgnosis Songs Fund Ltd, said: "The Kaiser Chiefs have been one of the most successful English bands of the last 15 years and it's no secret that it's down to great songs, great albums and a terrific live show. Incredible hits like I Predict a Riot and Ruby just get better with time. I'm delighted that Mark, Martin, James, Nick, Ricky and the band have entrusted us with this special catalogue."
The Family (Music) serves as an investment adviser to Hipgnosis.
Shares in Hipgnosis were 0.1% lower at 108.38 pence in London on Tuesday morning.
