(Alliance News) - Hipgnosis Songs Fund Ltd on Wednesday said it has acquired the music catalogue of award-winning singer Shakira.
The FTSE 250-listed music catalogue investor noted Shakira has won three Grammy Awards, four MTV Video Music Awards, seven Billboard Music Awards and 39 Billboard Latin Music Awards. Her songs include 'Whenever, Wherever', 'Hips Don't Lie' and platinum-certified 'She Wolf'.
Hipgnosis has acquired 100% of Shakira's music publishing rights, including publishing and writer's share of income, of her entire catalogue comprising 145 songs.
No financial details of the deal were disclosed.

Shares in Hipgnosis were trading 0.3% higher at 119.91 pence each on Wednesday morning in London.
