LONDON (Alliance News) - Hikma Pharmaceuticals PLC on Tuesday announced the former head of the US businesses of Ipsen and Eisai will be joining as a non-executive director.
Cynthia Schwalm will join Hikma's board from the start of June.
She was president & chief executive of the North American divisions of French firm Ipsen and Japanese company Eisai Co Ltd and previously had held senior positions of Johnson & Johnson and Amgen Inc.
"I am very pleased Cynthia will be joining Hikma's board. She brings extensive, proven experience in providing strong leadership through transformation," said Said Darwazah, executive chair of Hikma.
"Her extensive commercial and leadership experience in the pharmaceutical and biotech industries, as well as her experience as a healthcare practitioner will bring another fresh perspective to the board and greatly assist in our next stage of growth."
Shares were 0.5% lower on Tuesday in early trade at 1,669.00 pence each.
