HICL Infrastructure Acquires Two New Investments For GBP9.2M

LONDON (Alliance News) - HICL Infrastructure Company Limited said Monday that it has acquired a minority stake in two new investment projects for a total of GBP9.2 million.

The infrastructure investment company said that it has acquired a 50% shareholding interest in the GBP37.1 million Brighton Children's Hospital project from Kajima Partnerships Limited, which involves the design, construction, financing and subsequent maintenance of a new children's hospital.

It also said that it now owns a 29.1% stake in the GBP120 million Falkirk Schools NPD Project from Royal Bank Project Investments Limited, which involves the design, construction, financing and subsequent operation of four secondary schools in the Falkirk area in Scotland.

HICL said that the two investments were funded from existing cash resources, and takes the number of infrastructure investments in its portfolio to 91.

"The Group has a healthy pipeline of further investment opportunities which the InfraRed team is carefully evaluating and we are confident of securing further investments in line with the Group's investment strategy," said Director of InfraRed Capital Partners Limited, Tony Roper in a statement.

InfraRed Capital Partners Limited is HICL's investment advisor.

Shares in the company were trading flat Monday morning, at 132.50 pence per share.
